Keychange is a global movement for gender equality in the music industry. Every year, the international music community nominates a new group of “leaders of the future” from emerging artists and innovators from across Europe and Canada. Misia was selected for this pioneering initiative in 2022. Keychange’s leading project is KEYCHANGE PLEDGE. Keychange’s goal is to accelerate change and create a better, more inclusive music industry. After a thorough research and consulting both Keychange and the international womxn support network She Said So, Misia decided to create a local initiative, focusing on the needs of female and non binary artists specifically in Poland. The newly founded initiative is called Jak Na Dziewczynę (For a Girl). It is a support group, a mentoring program, and educational meetings for women, non-binary people but also for men who want to be allies. Misia is also the author of 16 episodes of “Wychodzimy z kącika (Leaving the corner)” an audio series for Radio 357, showcasing female role models in the Polish music industry.
